Shannon Lee Boisseau Serio

Shannon Lee Boisseau Serio is an attorney at Levin Gann PA whose practice focuses primarily on family law and civil litigation. Since joining the firm in 2018, she has represented clients in a broad range of domestic relations matters, combining thoughtful advocacy with the insight gained through her prior judicial experience.

Shannon represents clients in a variety of family law matters and has successfully handled complex domestic disputes at both the trial and appellate levels. She has appeared before Maryland’s highest appellate courts, where she helped establish important legal precedent regarding the disposition of cryogenically frozen pre-embryos following the dissolution of a marriage or partnership in Jocelyn P. v. Joshua P. Her appellate experience reflects her ability to navigate novel and sophisticated family law issues.

Prior to entering private practice, Shannon served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Michael J. Finifter of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. In that role, she gained valuable experience with complex civil and domestic matters and developed practical insight into litigation strategy and judicial decision-making that continues to benefit her clients.

Before attending law school, and while completing her legal studies as a part-time evening student, Shannon worked in the Office of Research and Development at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she negotiated industry-sponsored clinical trial and corporate agreements for the University’s Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy.

Shannon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Psychology, from Duquesne University and received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2017. She was admitted to the Maryland Bar the same year and has been selected as a Maryland Rising Star by Super Lawyers every year since 2020.
